Responding to the song ‘Jewel’ by Flume. It is an instrumental electronic piece that inspired me to explore colours and the movement of lines. I decided to go with more of an immersive water colour approach to my photography. My themes and ideas from textiles this year has inspired me to capture colour in expressive ways.
I captured this by using LED strip lighting in the background, and in some images I used a small LED light on the left. I created these images by immersing tissue paper, glassware, plants, orange slices and food colouring in water. I placed textured and colourful vases and glassware behind and in front of the large vase to create this series.
